In mid-August, we headed to Los Angeles for a 2-day pre cruise stay. Since this was our first time in the west coast and we wanted it to be very special because our son Carlos was turning 6. We had a ton of Hilton Points and decided to splurge and hands down we choose the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills for our 2 days stay. The Waldorf Astoria is a luxury Hotel in an amazing location located in the heart of Beverly Hills, 90201. We were so exited for this stay after reading all the wonderful reviews that we could not wait to experience this wonderful hotel.
Our trip started in Washington DC early in the morning, we arrived at Los Angeles at 11:30 am. We did not rent a car instead we used Uber to get around since we did not want to deal with the infamous LA traffic.
As soon as we arrived at the Waldorf, the valet courteously assisted us upon arrival. Offering water and impressively taking our luggage all the way to check-in.
When we stepped inside the lobby, I was amazed with the triple height ceilings and the magnificent custom bronze strass chandelier. Natural light is everywhere thanks to the many windows. The space itself magnificent with an Art Deco vibe.
At check in the associate gave us a rundown of the hotel, including a free in-house car service that you can book with the concierge, which will drop you off and pick you up within a three-mile radius. That’s quite a good perk, since you get to ride a Rolls Royce. She promised to have our room as soon as possible and even asked if we wanted to use their rooftop pool while we waited.
We decided to head out for lunch across the street for some delicious food at “Otros dias” Tacos while we waited to for the text letting us know that our room was ready.
About an hour later our room was ready and he headed back to the Waldorf.
We took a set of elegant elevators that quickly took us to our Double Queen Room.
The room is well designed and comes with plenty of technology. You can use also Alexa to control the curtains as my 6-year discovered. The room came with a lovely terrace with amazing views of Beverly hills. This room is large and its just the right size for our family.
There is complementary Nespresso machine that we used through out the stay.
The Bathroom is oversized and has a separate bath and shower. My son loved the bathtub as he felt he was in a swimming pool. There is a double vanity with several amenities such toiletries which come in handy if you forgot to bring something. There are also some high-end toiletries from Aesop that smell amazing. A Dyson hair dryer is provided that adds a touch of luxury.
Lastly, you will find a spacious mahogany walk in closet that offered kids size sleepers and bathrobe that my son loved.
One of the perks of staying here is the to die for roof top pool located on the 12th floor. The big draw of the pol is the view with gives you to die views of the surrounding area. The pool is rectangular, and water is heated giving you just the right temperature. There is also a hot tub which was a favorite of my son. There is always an attendant who helps to your every need. They create a cool atmosphere by playing chill music throughout. The Pool is open daily from 9:00 am till 6pm
At the Rooftop you will also find one of two Restaurants. The Rooftop by JG is where we enjoyed late hour drinks and watched the sunset from here. We did not have dinner here, but I heard its very good specially at night.
The other restaurant is on the main lobby floor called Espelette. It’s a mediterranean that offers breakfast and dinner. We had breakfast here and it was one the best breakfast hands down. Everything was delicious from the egg benedict to the buttermilk pancakes. The setting is magical and elegant. The Service was wonderful as they go out of their way to accommodate you in any way possible.
They also offer a fitness center and a full-service spa and salon that we did not use. Overall, we loved our stay specially the staff who provided a level of service that went above and beyond.
Thank you for stopping by at Stefani Gamboa, we hope you can visit this wonderful hotel and have the experience of your life!
We continue living life One Heel at a Time!
Xoxo,
Stefani
