Welcome to our visit to Playa Medano in Los Cabos San Lucas, I will share with you my honest opinion. We took a cruise with Royal Caribbean, and to spend the day, we chose this beach to have fun for a few hours. We had our six year old son with us, so we thought this beach was great to play in the water and it was indeed. However, we felt it was too local for our preference and too crowded. Our boat dropped out right in front of Mango Deck Club and what a fun party they had in there. Yet, we had fun and made the most of it. Keep in mind, it is a nice beach but if you want more intimacy and privacy, this may not be the beach. Yet, we choose it because we wanted to be in the water and as you know Los Cabos do not have beaches with easy access to the water, so this was overall a great option to swim in fun and fast waves.

If he is busy playing, we can relax too!
It was a sunny and beautiful day in Los Cabos
Our son loves to play in the water

Nestled in the vibrant city of Cabo San Lucas, Mango Beach is a delightful destination that offers a unique blend of relaxation, delicious food, and lively entertainment. Here’s a closer look at what makes Mango Beach a standout spot.

Ambience

Mango Beach exudes a laid-back, tropical charm that perfectly captures the essence of Cabo San Lucas. As you step onto the beach, you’ll immediately feel a sense of casual atmosphere and warmth. The decor is often described as the college party scene, featuring vibrant colors, rustic wooden accents, and lush greenery that blend harmoniously with the natural beauty of the area.

The beach itself is a haven of fun with soft, golden sands and crystal-clear waters. The atmosphere is crowded, making it an ideal spot for young people but really not for families. I believe it is more for couples looking to unwind and have a good time. Whether you are strolling along the shoreline, the serene environment invites you to savor the moment.

Food

Mango Beach is renowned for its diverse and delectable food offerings. The menu typically includes a range of fresh seafood, Mexican specialties, and international cuisine. Some highlights might include:

  • Ceviche: Freshly prepared with local seafood, this dish is a must-try for its zesty flavors and vibrant presentation.
  • Tacos and Enchiladas: Classic Mexican dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying.
  • Grilled Fish and Shrimp: Perfectly cooked and often served with tropical sides like mango salsa or coconut rice.
  • Fresh Salads and Smoothies: Ideal for a lighter meal or a refreshing drink to beat the heat.

Entertainment

Mango Beach offers a lively yet relaxed entertainment scene. Depending on the day, you might enjoy:

  • Live Music: Local bands or solo artists often perform, adding a festive atmosphere to your beach day.
  • Beach Parties: Occasionally, Mango Beach hosts themed parties or special events, such as beach bonfires or sunset gatherings.

These activities provide a fun and engaging experience, whether you’re looking to dance, listen to music, or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The Beach

The beach at Mango Beach is one of its main attractions. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Soft, Golden Sand: The sand is fine and warm, perfect for lounging or building sandcastles.
  • Clear, Inviting Waters: The water is typically calm and clear, making it great for swimming or snorkeling.
  • Not Comfortable Seating: The beach is equipped with comfortable lounge chairs, but water has risen so much that you barely has a place to seat without getting wet by the waves, it was hard for us to keep our things dry, and we did not like that.
  • Water Sports: Depending on the day, you might have the option to partake in various water sports like paddleboarding or kayaking but the waves were very strong and we did not feel like doing any sports.

Overall, Mango Beach in Cabo San Lucas provides a picturesque and enjoyable beach experience but it was not an option for relaxing. There were too many locals at the beach, and we are costumed to more secluded and intimate spaces for relaxation. The food was good with so many culinary delights, and engaging entertainment. Whether you’re planning a day trip or a longer visit, Mango Beach offers something for everyone, ensuring a memorable time by the sea.

Thank you for stopping by! We continue living life One Heel at a Time,

Xoxo,

Stefani
